Florence And The Machine starter Florence Welch says she has taken to science to influence the writing of the band's next in line album.
Welch told NME.COM that she is working with producer Paul Epworth on new material, and that their new song, 'Cosmic Love', is the story of a school saying that her dad once told her.
It was a story I heard from my father Welch said. "It's actually the name of the two atoms that formed are when someone split the atom, so I wrote a song around it. I even managed to fit the word 'hydrogen' in there. Isn't that a nice thing for scientists to call them though? - it's so unscientific and human." All of Florence and the machine's lyrics are eccentric as seen in Cosmic Love Lyrics and other songs. They are also quite similar to Marina and the Diamonds
In a review of the sound they are attempting on the next up to 2009 debut 'Lungs', Welch explained that she's started writing songs on the guitar again, as she did on debut single 'Kiss With A Fist'. She also met with Ellie Goulding, maybe and Marina and the Diamonds they will perform together. Underground Music Blog
"The guitar is coming back - I've gone full circle!" she said jokingly.
In other sources, Welch said that despite the popularity of 'Lungs', she is not feeling the pressure in terms of writing the new album.
"The second album feels like a release The next year is basically just Florence and the Machine continuing on and attempting to create something new. What isnt there to like?
